Mushroom Masala


  • Mushroom: 1 cup
  • Oil: 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Onion: 1 big
  • Tomato: 1 big
  • Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
  • Cumin powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala: 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli: 2
  • Red Chilli powder: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric: 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  • Bell Pepper: 1/2 cup
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tsp
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Coriander leaves: for garnish


Cut  mushroom into slices or dices as per your preference

Heat oil in a kadhai and add cumin seeds.IMG_20170615_114107

Later add onion and cook till golden brown and add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies. Saute for few mins and add chopped tomato and cook till tomatoes are soft.

Add dry spices and saute well till oil oozes out from the mixture.IMG_20170615_114839

Add bell pepper and saute and then add mushroom & salt and cook well for 5-8 mins. You can add 1 tbsp of water if required.

Add lemon juice and close the lid and cook for 2 mins and once mushroom is cooked switch off the stove and serve hot with chapatis, paratha or puri.
