- Chicken: 200 gms
- Basmati Rice: 2 cups
- Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
- Coriander powder: 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Salt: As per taste
- Ginger&Garlic paste: 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder: 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice: 1tsp
- Oil: 2 tbsp
- Onion: 1
- Tomato: 1
- Coriander Leaves: for Garnish
- Water: 4 Cups
- Whole spices: 4 cloves, 8-9 black pepper, small cinamon stick, 1 bay leaf
Marinade the chicken with chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and lemon for 40-60 mins.
Heat oil in a pan and add whole spices and cumin seeds.
Add onion and cook the onions till soft and then add tomatoes.
Once tomatoes are soft, add chicken marinade and cook for 3 mins
open the lid, give chicken a mix and add coriander leaves and cook for 1 min
add rice and water and give light mix. cook the rice for 10 min on low to medium heat. check the rice in between.
Serve the chicken pulao with vegetable raita or dahi.
